STEMCo (Science Technology Engineering Mathematic Committee) is an academic committee at University College Utrecht (UCU). It aims to support science students by sharing science-related (professional) opportunities and news through social media, hosting informative guest lectures with STEM academics, providing tailored professional guidance, and promoting engagement within UCU’s academic community through college-wide STEM events. Additionally, we aim to highlight the fun aspects that these scientific fields have to offer, as often deemed too complicated by many.
Community activities include chemistry cocktails, STEM Pubquiz and tie-dyeing. Professional events include internship/CV workshops, master's infosessions and lab visits. In addition to regular events, 'Last Week in Science' posts are made on Instagram (@stemcoucsa) every winter and summer term to showcase recent breakthroughs in science. Through our events, we hope to reinforce the science community at UCU and foster enthusiasm for the sciences.
May we react soon, STEMCo
