The primary goal of MusicCo is to unite our students through their shared love for music. MusicCo oversees the Music Room, accessible and free to use for all UCSA members. Inside, you will find a range of instruments and equipment, allowing you to express your musical creativity to its fullest. To use this facility, simply email UCSA to reserve a timeslot and they’ll provide you with the keys to the room. Additionally, if you need equipment for an extended period, you can rent it by filling out the ‘MusicCo Request Form’, available under the Downloads tab on this site.
Beyond this, MusicCo organises a lot of music events. These include Jam Sessions in the Music Room, Concerts in our Campus Bar, the famous Classy Campus Concert with performances from students, a ‘Battle of the Bands’ of campus, and, most importantly, our monthly Open Mic Nights. All of these events are aimed at unveiling the immense musical talent within our student body and sharing them with the broader campus community. Importantly, attendance to our events is entirely free. Performers even get to enjoy complimentary drinks! Of course note that you do not have to be a musician to love music and come to our events. Their success truly comes from the enthusiasm of our audience.
