The Independent Body is an important entity within the UCSA that functions as an advisory board and appeals body. The IB is the regulatory organ which ensures that the UCSA and its board follow the rules written down in the statutes and policy manual. It also mediates in possible conflicts within the association and it is the body to appeal to if any decision within the association is held to be unjust.
