Campus Affairs Representatives 

The Campus Affairs Representatives (C.A.R.) board is a supportive body at UCU which aims to inform and help students with all matters campus related, whilst simultaneously maintaining communication between the student body and the college management. Our board consists of three official members: Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer elected by the UCU student body each year. C.A.R. operates by dividing our tasks into different portfolios, in which we carry out projects to improve campus.

In '24-'25, C.A.R. will be working on the following seven portfolios:

• Housing
• Catering
• ​Facilities & Security
• Sustainability
• Establishing C.A.R.
• Wellbeing 
• Future Campus

For most students, campus serves as the core of their time at UCU, as a residential, academic, and social hub. Victoria Lacoste (she/her)

My position: Chair

Major: Law & Political Science

What do I do? As Chair of CAR, I represent the board in various settings. I prepare in advance our meetings by making agendas, and I lead them. I also make sure that the board fosters a cooperative, communicative and motivated atmosphere. Portfolio wise, I take care of Facilities & Security, Housing and I collaborate with Leila on Future Campus.

What do I like? I’m all about discovering new things. Whether it’s wandering through new cities and countries, or diving into different cultures. I’m also a huge music and movie fan, always on the hunt for concert tickets or always down to go to the cinema. But honestly, my favourite thing is simply hanging out with my friends!

Leila Mu'ammar (they/she)

What do I do? I’m the secretary of CAR, which means I’m mainly in charge of administrative matters, such as e-mails, scheduling, and taking minutes during meetings. I work on the sustainability and catering portfolios, as well as sharing the future campus portfolio with Vic. 

What do I like? In my free time I like going to the gym, baking, dancing, board games and playing piano!

Julie Anna Tlustá (she/her)

My position: ​Treasurer

Major: Cognitive Neuroscience & Psychology

What do I do? As a treasurer of C.A.R., I am mainly in charge of the board’s budget, keeping track of it and completing reimbursement forms. As C.A.R. is an initiative based Board, I try to combine creative solutions and strategic thinking regarding the financial aspects. I also work on the wellbeing and establishing C.A.R. portfolios.

What do I like? I love nature and staying active, so in my free time I attend yoga and dance classes, go for runs or hikes, swim or go to the UCU gym! I also enjoy listening to music, either by having a chill dinner with friends or going out to concerts:)
